Autumn at the Institut
Exhibitions, workshops, events
After opening its doors to the public on the occasion of five in situ previewing programmes in 2019 (extraORDINAIRE), 2020 (EN-QUÊTE), 2021 (Charles de Gaulle under the eye of the photographers and Perspectives), and in the spring of 2023 (Spring at the Institut), the Institut pour la photographie is presenting its sixth and final preview programme before work begins on its building.
From 3 November to 24 December 2023, the Institut will reopen for an autumn season that features eight contemporary artists whose work reflects a range of social issues. Inspired by unique stories, their sensitive and reflective approaches open up new ways of collectively questioning our relationship with the world, from the intimate to the political.
From traditional prints to photomatons, archives and screenings, this new season, with its emphasis on video, explores the different forms of the photographic medium.
With David de Beyter, Olivier Despicht, Claire Fasulo, Bertrand Gadenne, Mohammad Hadi Rahnaward, Justine Pluvinage, Bettina Rheims and SAEIO.
