Invited by the city of Lambersart to present an exhibition at the Colysée, the Institut pour la photographie shows a selection of photos by eight winners of the Grande commande photojournalisme, financed by the French Ministry of Culture and run by the BnF.

Bringing together the work of photographers from the Hauts-de-France region, this exhibition resonates with certain issues of this area and paints an kaleidoscopic portrait of women in France today, on an intimate (with Être et devenir une fille d’ici by Cédric Calandraud, which explores the construction of femininity in rural areas), professional (including Les eaux-fortes, a project by Julie Bourges on female fishermen, and À domicile, a series by Olivia Gay on care and home help professions mainly held by women), societal (with Les poings ouverts by Anouk Desury, which follows Shaïna, a young woman from Roubaix who has decided to pursue a career in boxing, Stayin’ Alive by Julie Glassberg, which documents tea dances for seniors, and Femmes d’ailleurs, ici by Aimée Thirion, about female exile) or social level (with Ulrich Lebeuf’s project, Isabelle, Amandine et Matthew, which documents the life of a mother and daughter from the Somme department who have relocated to Gien, and Héroïnes 17 by Anaïs Oudart, which illustrates the challenges faced by young people experiencing family breakdown in the Seine-Saint-Denis department).
