8th edition of the Institut’s Grant Call for applications
Collective affinities, elective affinities
Groups and photography
Sensitive and complex reflection of our relationships with the collective, being together and living together, group photographs contribute to public and private
archives, they help to represent and study our societies. In its own way, group photography contributes to the construction of cultural, social and gender identities. It implicitly creates an intimate and collective map that plays on various codes of representation, which is both public and private.
The theme of this 8th edition of the Grant invites us to consider how photography brings individuals together, connect them and assimilate them into communities, families—whether biological or chosen-—companies, fraternities, societies…
How it becomes a vehicle for belonging, friendship, recognition, and togetherness.
Closing of the call for applications on December 1, 2025 at 3pm (Paris Time)
